it is almost spring
almost there
if you are in my neck of the woody world the turning of spring is officially on the 20th at 5-ish in the morning.

another lovely day.

i went to hear a very inspirational woman speak today. it was a part of the international week at the UofA -the theme this year is global food security.
The woman speaking was the author of Diet for a Small Planet which is still extremely relevant today perhaps even more so . . .
She was very lively and positive. Her body literally wiggled with energy and her smile was grand in scale. Her message was hopeful and beautiful.
it was that we do not know all that is possibile and that things have gone too far and are too bad to not be optimistic.

She spoke of heroes and the need for bold humility that we need to walk with fear, using it as information to do what needs to be done to feed the children because it is not possible to know what is possible.



Before she spoke there were two lovely musicians who had travelled all the way from the Ukraine.

the thought when absence from the present
an itch to be scratched

One Hour to Madness and Joy

okay
it has been another stellar day
absolutely wonderFULL
no particular reason
all reasons
life is pushing up in happiness
i am the luckiest woman
i have everything
 
though on a serious note there is trouble afoot in edmonton
it comes in the form of epcor wanting/ proposing to buy/privatize/ control the goldbar wastwater treatment plant
this is bad news and i urge you to learn about this issue and write/email your muncipal rep on city council before tuesday when there will be a public hearing.

i have just had the most lovely day
the best the best the best
my boss was happy
i was productive and had fun building projects to do (with power tools) which i finished -Yahoo!
 
and then out of the blue i was offered tickets to the symphony
a SPPPeeeeecccial evening with Mendelsson
a new and very sweet friend (Kristy)
came with me
we walked downtown in the lovely evening to have supper at a Greek restaurant
it is such a good idea to eat when you are hungery
food tastes delicious and good food tastes fabulous
and then there was the music!
WonderFULL
and now i am home with a cup of tea to sip before bed and ready for sweet dreams
All in All i'm not sure why this was SUCH a good day
though i am grateful
