Returning Home
I am mainlanded again. back in to the industrial logger special of Prince Rupert. I am a silly gurl of special tendendacies. Last few days on Haida Gwaii were lovely and flowing and whirlwindish. I can only hope that the line of breadcrumbs i have dropped will lead back to me. If no, then that's the way it will be. . .and if yes then YES is a good answer.

OLd and nEW collide
I like life in a tent and i like life in a house. to stretch out and be able to dry out very important. On this vacation i feel like i am spending alot of money. I am too and that is fine. the cost of doing business. i realize that to live independantly is to use the resources you have economic, intellect, and social. To not use them would be silly, to use them well-wise. I travelled up to Agate beach when i first arrived on the island and spent the night. It was lovely to wander the beach. I feel caution-perhaps overly so-about hiking up cliffs and rocks in wet & stormy weather and I walk up to tow hill. I spent two days and one nigt in reflection with nature up the hippie road-two nights and one glorious day in seclusion at the Haida Rose Cottage in Old Masset up the yuppie road. Where do i belong- up which road-unclear perhaps both ways. I always be very good about living with contradictions. It is not unhappy position within which to find oneself.

travelling westward ho!
i ain't no ho! I am in prince rupert after two days of driving through sunshine to reach rain. I left edmonton on tuesday and will pass through again soon enough. I am waiting to take the ferry across to the islands and have somehow managed to dawdle my way through most of the day from a wander through the museum to coffee to walking up and down wet streets and a yummy sushi supper i will cap off the evening with an evening of storytelling at the community college and then i will hopefully find a lovely local pub to sit in for a beer and then down to the ferry terminal to wait until dawn. i am hoping for some sunny spots but if it does not rain too much that will be joyous.
