i goofed on that one?
anyways it was good wherever it was from. . .
though i had even more reason to be thankful this weekend past despite it not even being an official day. my dear sister (soul not blood) kim came for a visit and we were treated to a yummy chinese meal and a receital of belly dancing.
It was a fundraiser for a group in Edmonton called Action For Healthy Communities. There was a cake auction and i tried (really really tried) to bid on a Walnut Chiffon cake which looked delicious.
However other people were quicker and the price tag quickly rose to higher than i was willing to go. The happy news is that one of the organizers was a fellow who i knew from my job at the hardware store and it was his mother who baked the cake. He did make a promise of a recipe and i will be following that one to a hopefully tasty end. . . .ending in my stomach that is.
