i am in berlin

i am in berlin
after a nervous trip from paris
i wanted to continue but for some reason i didn't want to go

i here resolve to not miss an opportunity to connect with lovely people
because there are so many lovely people
and i must get better at accepting the flow. . .as my lovely polish friend (yursef -spelled as i heard it) and i must get better at asking people to write down their names.
i have a terrible memory and a terrible tongue for speaking out names.

  1. Dear Ruth;
I'm glad you made it to Berlin! I never did but John Kennnedy did and he, apparently became a Berliner so beware. Don't worry too much about missing people; there are so many to miss. Take there pictures, get the right spelling of their names and keep in touch visually or in any other way you can. We ahve spoken to Maria by phone and Leonard has made arrangements for Thursday. She sounds very nice and indicated she was looking forward to meeting you.
Leonard and Elizabeth are taking a load own to Banff this weekend. I am going to Bear Trap on Monday or Tuesday next.jenny is ready for a holiday!Greeting to your friends in Berlin and let us know where you go from there.
    Love Mom.

tsk tsk terrible tongue. Grin. I think the nerves are important Ruthie Darling. Keeps us alive. I try not to listen to my butterflies that tend to exaggerate, but sometimes when something doesn't quite smell right, or feel right, I listen to my intuition. Mind you, because I've listened to it, there was no negative experience proving that I was right in being worried. Beat upon my conundrum....
Berlin, how exciting. One of Owen's favorite cities.
I'm pooped. biked to school, danced with a morning dance club (15 mins) ran around the school with grade 5, speed walked than ran with grades 5 and 6, raced around my gym with 5 different classes, killed lice and checked 10 kids heads, biked home. will sleep a sweet profound exhaustion tonight I think.
    Nervous in Berlin
    berlingnots from paris
    all tonguetied triptyched and rattling
    all tongue terrible tongue terrible
    lacerating, bellowing, masticating names
unfurling into the burling blossoming realms
of possibilities and arms crossed, uncrossed
    paths crossed uncrossed.
humbumbling with the flow and ebb of it all
awash in the wide wide world.
    grin.
